Class Photo looks at a family’s struggle for normalcy amid mental illness. Devoted daughter Laura strives to build a relationship with her increasingly unstable father, and overbearing mother.

The narrative originated from my retired stand-up comedy bits. Since presenting the material on stage, I thought it would be heightened by the full expressive power of film. Being largely autobiographical, the themes were extremely emotionally challenging but cathartic to explore. As a native Angeleno, I enjoyed showcasing Los Angeles landmarks while putting together this film.
