Furniture on Screen is an ongoing visual research project identifying notable furniture, lighting, and objects appearing in film and television. Originally published as a series of Instagram carousels, the project looks beyond the actors and narrative to examine the designed objects helping to establish a character, place, period, or mood.

Through visual comparison and archival research, I identify designers and manufacturers and trace the histories of pieces that may appear on screen for only a few seconds. The project reflects my broader interest in making furniture and design history accessible through familiar public settings and popular culture.
