An Arrangement of Objects, Light & Refreshments

Created for the LADW Open Studio at the Allied Crafts Building in Downtown Los Angeles, this installation treated hospitality as part of the overall studio environment. I assembled a small gathering area using two tables from filmmaker David Lynch’s estate, paired with my Santa Barbara sconce and approximately century-old light bulbs sourced from a lighting archivist in North Hollywood.

Food and drink were incorporated as another layer of the composition, including “High Class Cakes” from Momo Bakery (SGV), Scandinavian treats from Karl’s Candy Club at Huset in Venice, and tarragon lemonade from Blackjack Market (SFV). Furniture, lighting, provenance, food, and presentation were brought together as a single informal installation—part display, part gathering place, and part extension of the Show.Room.LA studio.
